And these hoaxes create tons of traffic on the internet slowing everything down, everyone who passes the advice on to their contacts just adds to the traffic, it multiplies so quick, imagine if I have twenty contacts (I have a lot more), if I send it to all of them and just ten pass it on to their contacts, if ten of each contact passes it on again, we very quickly swamp the mail systems. I just ignore these I'm afraid, I'm not having a go at the OP, just adding my point of view that I beleive that they are best ignored, or as EvilMonkey said, check out the antivirus vendors.
BTW, my email signature is:
If you receive an email that says something like
'Send this to everyone you know'
please pretend you don't know me!

Smiley_Mum wrote:I've been having problems with my PC recently, think it may be down to a conflict between Spyware Blaster and SpywareGuard which I just recently installed. My PC in the last couple of days has the icons flickering constantly or the info in the address bar flickering and you can't do anything. It eventually goes off though. I've virus checked everything, adaware, etc etc and it's all clear. So fingers crossed I don't have a serious problem.
Troubles such as you describe will have a different cause.
