Thanks, but unless they're obviously spammers I think I'll leave well alone. I've gained a lot of useful tips from people here so if they see a chance to get a little bit back then good luck to them.

But if you do that then everyone will fill the forum with posts asking for referrals!!!!!

There's a board specifically for referrals, if they want referrals they should post in that board and no other.

You don't only earn on Awarded answers - on unawarded questions users get a percentage of advertising revenue. There is a system where a good 'quality score' over time of accurate and well presented answers earns you the potential of a larger share of the money.

Who gives your answer the 'quality score' ????

If the asker doesn't come back and rate your answer, who rates it? Judging by the number of answers, they can't do it themselves.

I don't know the details of how the shares are worked out but I have 11 awarded answers - none of which are showing more than 2 adsense views - and have accumulated £9.50 in just over a week - with the daily amount increasing each day.

How do you find out how much you have earned?

    Look on your adsense account

If the asker rates the question then earnings are then split between the asker and the person awarded the best answer.

If the asker fails to come back and rate the question then the earnings are split between everyone who answered the question.

That's my understanding of it anyway! :D

Honestly, I've no idea! I wondered this myself, it doesn't seem to be explained properly anywhere on the website. There are moderators - I had an answer randomly flagged for moderation yesterday (it was passed without question and it's never happened before so I can only assume it was random). There are also options to report 'abuse' for the moderators to assess.

They're talking about some changes that will be implemented soon, including the option to view your quality score, so I'm going to wait and see what happens there.

edited to add - most of these questions have been posted on webanswers, and answered there by users who have been around a lot longer than me, so it might be worth checking there for more detailed information...

How much have you made so far?

And how many questions have you answered?

I'd love an honest answer from someone who is just trying it, rather than an inflated earnings amount from someone touting for referrals.

    Dont bother with it pal!

I have answered around 80 questions, had ten awarded and earned a whopping 59p hahaha.

Really, my first question got me the figure of 43p which wasnt too bad but I got 9 awards after that and got 17p for the whole thing.

Working out at not even a penny a question

I am trying it but have been waiting just over a week for my adsense account to be approved - anyone else had to wait this long.

From the reading I have done you have to have a fair amount of questions done before you begin to see any earnings - the amount suggested is upwards of 100 depending on the type of questions you are answering.

Would appear that's how all income using adsense works.

Have only answered 10 questions and have held off answering anymore until my accounts approved.

    Will keep you guys updated!
