Booking 5 Consecutive Nights Individually

Was about to book into a European Hilton this evening with their 50% offer promo but because I searched about for so long I lost the offer - they only had a limited number of rooms each night and for the Saturday evening that limited had been reached.

On searching the other nights individually, I see the offer is on for them. And I don't mind paying full price for one night.

If I book it now as one booking it will cost £903 however if I book the nights individually it only costs £484.

This looks the only hotel that meets every one of our requirements and comes within budget so I would love to go there but cant afford more than £500 - so would need to look at other options.

My question: If I book my stay as 4 separate transactions would it cause any difficulty when I go to check in?
All bookings are for the same room type, same number of people, through same agent, on same card, breakfast inc. etc etc.

My plan would be to book the following:
Wed: 96.82
Thur: 79.95
Fri: 79.95 (same transaction as thursday evening)
Sat: 146.77 (expensive evening that throws price out when booked as 5 nights - every booking agent I've looked at wants to charge all 5 nights at this price)
Sun: 79.95

It shouldn't cause a problem, I've done it with various hotels before. If they were really pedantic they could ask you to swap rooms and/ or check out and check in again after each booking. I would give them a call to check.
    Gone ... or have I?

Can you get the good prices if you book the first 3 nights as one booking, than the Saturday night and then the Sunday night? It cuts it down to 3 bookings instead of 5.

Days Inn made us do that once.
  • Probably worth phoning ahead a few days before your visit to request keeping the same room throughout.
  • We've done this once before, an overnight stay in Southampton before heading out on the ferry, the hotel made us vacate the rooms by check out time (noon I think?), and then check back in at the normal time, so that it could be cleaned and officially signed off by their rooms manager, or something like that. They basically dealt with it as if it was completely independant bookings, although the staff were very nice about it and I think we got a few free drinks with our lunch. Not such a huge problem for a couple of hours and we still got the same room (I remember we left suitcases, etc. at the front desk - we didn't unpack anyway so not a huge deal). But might have been a bit of a pain with a longer stay like yours. It's probably hugely down to what the official policy is at the hotel, who you get at the desk, and how busy they are/how pedantic they want to enforce the checking procedure :rotfl:

I would give them a call beforehand, personally.

  • Oh, I just saw you also said "same card, etc... through the same agent" - I suspect it would be easier to go through to them direct and make the booking for something that could go a bit like this with many individual bookings. Just in case! :p
