Hello everyone
I have a presentation to do tonight, and I only use Open Office, but I understand if I save it this way it will not open with Microsoft, which will leave me very red-faced as you can imagine if it will not open tonight!
I was wondering if anybody knows what I do to make sure Microsoft can open it?
I have done it before but can't remember how to, please please help me!

Haven't used open office, but I imagine there should be some kind of "export" option, or "save as" and the ability to change the type to excel.
p.s. you might want to test it works by downloading the free MS Powerpoint viewer0 -
One way to check if it does open is to download the free Powerpoint viewer from Microsoft - just put 'powerpoint viewer' into Google to find it - then you can be certain beforehand that it will work.
Ah! - garcia beat me to it, just.0 -
You can convert it online for free HERE0

I always export to PDF also (easily done in OpenOffice), just to have an alternative route to giving a presentation. All should be fine with the exported powerpoint file, but I just like a backup strategy!0

Certainly check it with the PP viewer - the Open Office version of Powerpoint was by far the weakest in my (limited) experience and the greatest issues moving between the two programsAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers
