Santander recently wrote to me and invited me to apply for a card, which is fantastic news for me as I am desperate to rebuild my credit score, which isnt good thanks to other half who left me with large debts., I currently have two default, one is showing settled.
They have asked for further proof of ID, I bank with them,
Is it looking good ?

To be honest you must have a good account history with them if they do decide to accept you with 2 defaults, as with 2 defaults I even think Vanquis would do a runner from you..0 -
Have been with them a few years and no problems, defaults are not good but are on for a while, have tried to get both removed as didnt receive any notiifications for them, but its impossible ;(
Paid one off said they would remove but just corrected it to settlled. Other one have tried to pay it off but the company will not play ball0 -

My OH has been with Abbey then obviously santander for about 10 years, she had a default, but they gave her a Zero card so you probably will be ok.0 -
In personal experience although the benefits are good the service is the worst I have ever received. The online service does not work and the customer service is worse than useless. Good luck.0
