Lidl bluetooth head unit

Anyone seen the SilverCrest bluetooth car head unit Lidl currently have @ £50? Anyone got one?

I wonder if it'd be any good - it'd be a much tidier solution for bluetooth and MP3 playback in my car than having a Parrot kit and an adaptor plugged into the OEM head unit

Can't offer any advice on the Lidl head unit. But consider this.

In my car I have both Parrott and Blaupunkt bluetooth hands-free kits, one for my work phone and one for my own phone. The quality on the Parrott is a lot better both ways than the Blaupunkt. And it's not down the phone being used as I have tried both combinations of hands-free and phones.

I know Parrot stuff is awesome - but I do wonder if this would be a fair compromise. Seems to have a proper external mic etc.

(BTW, doesn't your parrot support 2 phones at once?)

Both my kits have external mics both mounted next to each other, so the I know the quality of the mics are defiantly different.

Yes, the Parrott supports upto four phones (I think), but only one can be connected at a time. I have a visor hands-free which I use in hire vehicles which allows two phones to be connected at the same time, but that dual connectivity was not available when I got the car.

I looked into the similar Aldi version (not sure if its the same inside) a while ago and decided against it. I think I read in various places that it was a bit rubbish. But that's a rather vague reason not to buy it... Also the wattage output was quite low, which I think was my main reason...
