Inflation question

According to the Bank of England website, inflation is currently at 3.3%. If I'm earning 2.8% on my savings (non taxpayer) that's means I'm losing money, right?

Inflation is quite individual really. All goods dont rise by the same amount, so your personal inflation (cost of things you buy regularly) could be lower or greater than overall estimates. I remember somewhere used to have a personal inflation estimator but I cant remember where it was.
