tax credit specialist renewal

Hi.
I received a letter in august asking for additional information about my claim, namely p60's for myself and my partner, childcare cost proof and contracts.
I sent these all back and received a letter saying that my claim had been looked at and there were discrepancies, which I knew were my fault & I had wrote a letter explaining this to them explaining this. The letter then went on to say my case had been selected for review but did not detail what this meant.
Ten days later I received another letter detailing that my claim had been accepted in full and returning my documents. This was followed by a fresh tax credits declaration with the amounts amended for overpayments.
I was relieved that this was all over but I'm still left wondering what the review part means.
Have I heard the last of them or not? Because I don't understand what other informationi could provide to them that they haven't already had.
Any advice would be much appreciated!

I think the review means they update your claim so that it reflects your current circumstances
  • Does it? Well from what I can gather that's been done already, I'm due to phone them anyhow this week as my youngest starts nursery so my costs will go down, but apart from that my circumstances all got changed when they reassessed my claim.
It confused me a little as it said my case was selected for review as the information I had provided didn't match what they had, but now it does so I presumed it was all sorted. This was November though and I've heard nothing more since.
