How original. Thought about stand up?
I've only had a few days there on business, so didn't have much chance for sightseeing. But I loved some of the pubs in the centre - they had lots of character, decent ales, and a few had some really good live Irish folk bands in back rooms. Great atmosphere - quite a change from the bland chain pubs that seem to be taking over...
I remember seeing a big wheel nearby too... might've been worth a go to get an overview of the local area...0 -
I love the view from the top of my work building at night- is stunning0

Ever driven down to the Titanic Quarter to see the bits of Belfast that make it infamous? I used to work in the Science Park and the Thompson Dry Dock is there. That's where the Titanic was outfitted before it sailed off to the big dockland in the sky (or sea as the case may be). You can get an idea of how big Titanic was and see the pump house (I think there's a tour now) as well as seeing the Painthall where a number of films have been shot recently plus get a closer view of Samson & Goliath.
Otherwise if there's nowhere in Belfast you like then you don't have to post negative comments on what should be a positive thread.
Yes I have and I've taken one of the bus tours. Whilst the tour was very interesting from a historical point (and very well done) they would not be places I would like to visit frequently.
Apologies if I've offended you, I thought you could share both positive and negative views on a forum.0 -

Of course you can share positive and negative views - there's a praise, vent & warning forum full of trolls for that. This thread however was asking for peoples favourite place in Belfast, not for wannabe comedians to derail the thread.0 -

Crikey, what side of the bed did you get out of this life?0 -
I do love Victoria Park since you can look at the Harland & Wolf Cranes whilst also watching flights take off and land at the City Airport. Oh, and there are also lots of ducks and geese to feed! :j0

Jeeeeez Caz, calm down or you'll have a heart attack:eek:
This is the Norn Iron forum and as well you know we all (rightly or wrongly) think ourselves comedians:rotfl:
I know I posted a wee jokey answer in my response but also raved about the Lagan walks and Titanic quarter too:T
Life is too short CazI am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -

The one that puts me in a bad mood because I'm pregnant and need to take it out on someone. Guess I'm just still peeved at the praise/vent/warning forum due to the number of people derailing threads for "a laugh".
Apologies :beer:0 -
I love the view at night looking down over the city from Craigantlet hill, as well as the one from the M2.
Also love Queens University, think its such a lovely building. And the view from the top of the library in there is great too. Hmm, I sense a theme here, I'm one of those people who just loves looking out on all the lights twinkling at night - I know some people hate that, light pollution and all that.
And as for buildings, Stormont looks fantastic too.
Belfast isn't the most picturesque city in the world by any means, but its like anywhere, it has its good points too.0
