im a fan of the view from my own bedroom window to be honest, it takes in all of the centre of belfast, H&W cranes, Odyssey, Cave Hill and it looks outstanding on a clear night!

Yes, I absolutely love that view! Just a pity it's literally downhill from there :o

Have to say my fave place in Belfast is my bed, especially in the mornings!
I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!

I love that view from the M2 as well - when i've been away and I'm driving down from international airport I see that view and I know i'm home :D

I think my very favourite place is Belfast Castle - beautiful gardens, awesome view and one of the first places my now husband took me. We got married there in 2009 :D

There is no-where really that nice in Belfast, its not a bad city but its not exactly picturesque now is it

I do like walking the tow path or lady Dixon Park etc, but none of it compares to the rest of the country!
How anyone can say the H&W cranes are nice, i'll never know. They are actually a bit of an eyesore, they are part of the culture of belfast, but that doesn't make them nice!

The view coming down the M2 is lovely, although I only like it at night!

I have to say my favourite place in Belfast is the road out of it, other than that it would have to be Queens University, its a beautiful building, its historic and its positive!
My favourite place in the north of Ireland is Castlewellan Castle and lake, especially in the snow!

My favourite view of Belfast is when it's in my rear view mirror. Funny how most other peoples are from a distance.

there are bad parts to every city town and village, someone just wanted to know the parts people like about belfast, which there are obviously a few.

Of course there are and I'll keep reading this thread to see if there are any good parts I've missed so I might change my opinion of the place.

Love this view too, especially in my rear view mirror:rotfl: (and yes I'm a Derry man)

The walks along the Lagan, waterfont and over to H@W are lovely on a dry day.

Fav place is Windsor Park on a Wet Wednesday evening, beating the English and Spanish:D
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:

Ever driven down to the Titanic Quarter to see the bits of Belfast that make it infamous? I used to work in the Science Park and the Thompson Dry Dock is there. That's where the Titanic was outfitted before it sailed off to the big dockland in the sky (or sea as the case may be). You can get an idea of how big Titanic was and see the pump house (I think there's a tour now) as well as seeing the Painthall where a number of films have been shot recently plus get a closer view of Samson & Goliath.

Otherwise if there's nowhere in Belfast you like then you don't have to post negative comments on what should be a positive thread.
