OP ask yourself this, if you had booked the wrong date for the room would Travel Lodge have refunded you for your mistake?, probably not and you would have been out of pocket.0

his fault not yours.....if you feel guilty give the cash to charity....or refund a stupid buyer that way you encourage him to be a plank again.
I completely agree; his fault not yours. If I was in your place and the buyer had paid up with no fuss I would have refunded him £20 as a goodwill gesture, but he tried to get away with not paying you!0 -
OK - I feel better about it now. I guess I just didn't expect him to pay up. I will think about how I can put the £40 to good use... thanks!0
