Amazing what you have achieved in a short time. You should be rightly proud. Great news on the holiday. Kids can always save their own pocket money and that would save you and OH a fortune.5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Thanks MIT- being on here really helps keep me focussed.
I listed 7 e-bay yesterday- 3 short of my target. I left it a bit late and forget how loooong it takes to list (for me, anyway). I'll do 3 more today and will just have to pay the fees or start them at 0.99.Debts at LBW Jan 11 CCs TOTAL 41,300

Ooh I've got a bid on one of my items but I must be disciplined and not look at it more than once every couple of days otherwise I start to obsess which is quite sad.Debts at LBW Jan 11 CCs TOTAL 41,300

I listed my other 3 items making 10 now on ebay. I need to get the house organised this week before the kids break up for half-term on Friday and plan some cheap/ free ideas for next week.
They have a few sleepovers arranged here and at their friends' houses (and one in a tent  ), and I'm taking DD2 to a show.
I think there are usually cheap vouchers for bowling and we'll fit in a cinema trip but they always groan at free museums/ National trust places etc. so I'll have to go over to the trips board and see what other moneysaving/ fun ideas people have now the DCs are getting older.Debts at LBW Jan 11 CCs TOTAL 41,300

Good luck with that. My 2 dont want to go out with me any more
. I just run them about to their outings like a taxi. I have some term time with my work and I reckon after this year I will be binning it as DD will be 18 and DS will be 14 by next summer so no real point in me being here and losing all that money. I must say though that I totally love the extra leave I get
and will sorely miss it. My kids only had a long weekend but apparently in April they only have a bout 8 days in school. Lucky beggars. 5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Yes, I'm making the most of it whilst it lasts. Had a lovely evening at friends party tonight. We really need to host a decent party as we owe quite a few people now, but I'm begrudging the thought of spending the money!
What do you think is a reasonable allowance for leisure/ socialising when trying to be a DFW? I find it really hard to gauge- maybe I'm being too strict with myself. At the moment I find it hard to see how to socialise cheaply
My e-bay stuff is going okay- hopefully I should make £150+ by Sunday. This will go off the smallest credit card- I want to try and pay this one off by May if I can.Debts at LBW Jan 11 CCs TOTAL 41,300

Good for you on the e-bay front. As for the socialising I have no clue. As you say it costs a fortune to go anywhere. In the past wehn we have gone out i.e. to pics we have had sweets, popcorn, juice, ice cream in pics and then macdonalds on way home  ( no wonder I'm fat lol ) and this has resulted in a massive spend of about £50-£60 just to see a film. I now give the kids a choice of one of the above, they usually choose macd's , and we will buy packet popcorn and a share bag of sweets to take in with us. Cuts the price in half. In saying that we hardly ever go the pics these days as dd wants to go with her friends and ds isn't overly bothered either way. Other socail occasions I take as much as I can from the house and then we make choices as to what we spend money on and I also make the kids use their own money when they have some.5 Year plan. Wow I just checked my items and all 6 have bids. Despite no pics lol. Not great prices getting paid but hey ho it's still money for nothing and a few hours yet to go. I will try my best and get pics on now and see if I can boost the prices up a bit5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
