  • Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for being so supportive today. It's really helped me. I have to admit, I took a huge breath before posting, but then thought- well, we're all human and we're all dealing with things, and these are my friends, so deserve to know some of what's going on in my life-and you guys have been kind enough to share your lives with me, so I did it. DS is a remarkably sensible and measured young lad, and will go with what he feels he wants to do, but at least I know he trusts us well enough to share it with us, whether it might be upsetting for us or not. It's what's best for him that counts. Hubby is chuffed DS thinks about him in that way, but tbh, I think he knew it anyway. He and DS have a brilliant relationship. Also really proud of DD1 who, although she's in Aberdeen, and heard all about KH's FB message when she phoned to wish her brother happy birthday, phoned back to make sure we were ok.

Re Storage Containers I spoke to one of the takeaways in town that sell ice cream and got a huge amount of catering size containers (M*ckie's ones so rectangle shaped) for nothing. Normally they throw them out. Great for smaller items- legos, marbles, pencils, eyeshadows etc etc. I've been putting my sewing bits and pieces in them, Hubby's flytying things, oh, and, of course, they're freezer proof, so I use them there too.
Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.

ps has anyone seen Triker today? Did she make it back from Boots????:rotfl:

I see she has now posted but she had been spotted lurking herself about on facebook

*waves to triker-snoodles* How're the bugs?

I am pleased I had completely forgotten about Boots sale.. I have heaps of stuff and no need for more..

Apparently DS2 is being bullied at school.. bear in mind he has issues with being touched and thinks name calling is bullying , he is at an all boys school so name calling is normal as part of the hierarchy and hee is absolutey not singled out.. Do I intervene and do major style kicking off and risk it getting worse or ignore it like he asked me to??????

OH's gran has maybe a few days left to live so some 'peaceful passing' vibes for her would be nice.. after I have persuaded him to go see her of course.. If noone minds.

And 2 of my cats have developed a flea allergy I think so I am on bug patrol.. if it thinks about an itch.. it gets sprayed.. the cats will soon be so neurotic they'll not dare itch!!

Ms Jelly.. your dads 'relapse' might just be due to being tired and needing more rest and less being anxious about being in there.. sending more healing vibes his way.. and hugs and strength for you and your mum..

List and bed for me... ARGH!!! I just got walked on.. I am sure I am visible.

  • Monday - do kitchen and collapse on sofa until time to take DD to doctor's. She is being referred to hospital because she has chest pains, faints regularly and her father has an appearance consistent with Marfan's syndrome - plus cardiomegaly and spontaneous pneumothoraxes. Nice to see that it has only taken 9 years for someone to believe me when I say something isn't quite right.

Then disappear off to club to play onstage in the evening. i was rubbish, had a great time and then zonked out for 12 hours when I got back.

Tuesday - busy feeing like death warmed up. I don't get ill, I don't do ill and it's only because of the darn steroids that I've finally caught my first cold in over 6 years.

Wednesday - still feel rubbish! Bored now. The novelty of being diseased is wearing off rapidly. As are the decongestants and parrots.

    Errrghhhhh [thud].

    Collapsing into bed soon.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Just posting to say Happy Birthday to Poohbear. Hope you have a lovely day.

Just getting the boys up and ready, so an hour of dashing round. I need to get more done in the evenings. When I first started this I used to leave the place tidy when I went to bed - including shining the sink. A lot nicer to come down to than the current mess.

    Morning all

HuUgs and vibes as needed pigpen hope granny's passing is peaceful.

Sockdrawer I'm pleased that you feel you can share with us, it's a great place for support and ideal if you want to thrash something out which you couldn't do with family or RL firends.

Jo Jo sounds like you've had a bad week, I hope things imrpove from here on in for you, hugs.

I probably won't get much chance to post until Yellow Day as for some it's MONDAY! We are going out on yellow day with MIL and SIL to a panto, that's after we have been to swimming lessons and then lunch. Not sure how it will go as they will either want to talk about DH all the time or totally blank the fact that it is his birthday. Either is not good but I think it's going to be a case of grin and bear it.

I've also got my fingers crossed that the new baby next door does not put in an appearance on Saturday, any other day is fine but not then!

Hey ho and off to work I go.

    Later Gators x

ETA Happy Birthday Pooh :bdaycake: hope you have a lovely day
