    Hi :hello:

I finally have internet access again for the first time since Friday. Fri - forgotten charger at work. Sat - laptop screen almost completely dark. Mon - new laptop, but no internet. Tue - no time to see tech guys. Wed - :j. I still have lots of other issues due to new versions of programmes on new laptop and old versions at work, but this has been the first step to get sorted.

Work is no better, so flying is relegated at the moment and I'm trying to make sure that DS2 gets enough attention. If it was just me here I'd focus purely on work for a few weeks until I get on top of things, but as it is I have to try to keep everything ticking over.

Bath and then work, as well as sorting out WM/TD/DW. And a few papers for DS2's school for tomorrow. I may have to have a nap, too. Have started to sleep mid-evening ('cos I can't stay awake) and then stay up until stupid o'clock, because my work is better if I'm not too tired. DH says to get work out of the way and have an earlier night. I know he's right, but I'm usually so tired that stuff takes much longer and my work isn't as good, so the vicious circle continues.

Hoping to be around at the weekend. Hugs, sticks, spoons etc for everyone. x

    *whizzing through*

Minimal flying today, washing up....um, that's about it. I'll catch up on Friday. (nb for newbies - do not try catching up until you've been flying a while. I'm already fairly decluttered and have big kids around to help)

Thank you for the kind words. Just proves that I'm always very strong on theory. (and that I nick all the good ideas from everyone else....)

poohbear - sorry to hear that. Maybe just the current climate, and I'd think if the idea is good, then tweak it, and keep trying. Have you tried asking over on The Memorygirl Matrix thread in debtfree diaries? Some very good business brains on there - although you may need to ask for their other site addy.

    Love and hugs.

ps has anyone seen Triker today? Did she make it back from Boots????:rotfl:

  • have done odd bits of flying but nothing that major but got another thing off my own list - I managed to finally sit down and read the instructions for the electricity monitor - have got it connected and it is  in fact very very :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: what some things do to the meter!!!!
I will be re-inventing candles, cooking on an open fire, going to the nearest river to wash clothes, will never iron again and invent a wind-up laptop:eek: I think this monitor will make life very interesting for a while!!!:rotfl:

    toots xx

I've been toying with getting one of these - what have you got? Our electric is horrendous - coal fire in one room, no central heating so electric heat in other rooms when needed...
Should I be concerned that I am looking forward to tomorrows list? Or have I just caught the bug?! I have 3 rooms all looking good all at the same time...thats a miracle for me!! :j

That was my first thought this morning - I know that I'm as ready as I've ever been for this but maybe I really do need to get out more :D

Did my first meal-planned shop ever today and it was a lot cheaper as a result :T Doubled the bill with extras though - most of which will will be used in coming weeks menus and some housey stuff - like my curtain rail, replacement lampshade for the landing, pillows, light fitting for the bathroom and a fish slice! I did do my flying stuff before I went out though which was a good move cos I'm knackered now so will wash up, tidy kitchen and go to bed... Hope everyone's had a good day x

Hi hun, I didn't go, nor order online, I'm resisting the sales as I don't need anything and actually have a backlog of alsorts that needs using up.:D

Anyway, managed to fill a binbag today, and wipe down the wonky draining board by sink that doesn't drain.

    That's about it.

For those whom its a Friday in your working week, please can I ask you respectfully and nicely to.....

    Here's a little thing I posted on my FB before;

This year we will experience 4 unusual dates.... 1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11, 11/11/11 .... NOW go figure this out.... take the last 2 digits of the year you were born plus the age you will be this year and it WILL EQUAL TO 111.

I have NEARLY finished my tax return, but work systems are down so I can't get in to find my P11D.

I thought I'd better let Dusty know before she came to find me...

Need to get up early tomorrow and tidy as I've let things go a bit and an estate agent (the one in the village... used it as an excuse to pause mid-run) might be round first thing to look around, tell me what needs doing, how much the house is worth and when to sell...

Hope to be back on track by next week!
