I have about 9 credit cards accounts mostly all expired 0% purchase cards that I no longer use.
I am having a new year clean up of my finances and wish to get rid of about half of them.
What is the quickest and most efficent way of cancelling?
A cancellation letter with the card enclosed cut up??
Thanks
Ted

Yes, phone. Barclaycard offered to confirm in writing, but I said no need.
Don't forget that if you've given any continuous payment authorities, these could bring the accounts back to life.0 -

Yeah, that and any services / insurances etc you are paying for via credit card, too - especially any payment protection insurance you might have on the card - if you do, demand confirmation of cancellation in writing as it's been known for these to re-surface years later and the CPP company trying to blag that you'd never cancelled it to begin with.
