Hi there!
What do You think is the best way to invest 1500 GBP on one year? I would like low-risk investment. Do You think ISA will be the best? Or is the better way to invest money?
Best Regards
Thanks

The odds of winning on premium bonds are so minimal as to be negligible. However basically the only way to get a good return is to take some risk. I put £500 into L&G's Alpha UK fund 3 months ago. It dropped to £480 initially due to fees but is now worth £550. However the market could obviously fall at any time, but, like shares, if you have made a decent return you merely pull it as things start to slide rather than watch all your profits go to dust: a market drop doesn't mean you lose everything as long as you are vigilant.
The problem with shares is knowing which one to invest in (with £1000 and fees I'd say one share really). You need to research and follow the markets first and monitor very closely and set a stop loss figure. If I had a pound for every pound I'd lost, I'd be confused0 -

Ignore the advice you have been given above. You have clearly stated your risk profile is low and you are looking to "invest" your money for a year. I think you mean save.
A year is too short a time frame to invest over without taking massive risk (you could lose it all).
The suggestion to put it all in one share is also high risk. We dont know if the OP has any other savings - this £1500 may represent their life savings. To advise them to put this all in a high risk one year investment is very poor advice indeed.
If you are looking for low risk and only over a timescale of 1 year OP you are talking about saving rather than investing. Put it in the best paying cash ISA you can if you haven't saved in one this year. Do not invest in stocks and shares for 12 months unless you are willing to run the risk of losing it all...0 -
12 months is not investing, it is saving.
The shortest time normally quoted for investing is 5 years.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
