So annoyed with Comet

Just had to post this as I'm really annoyed with the way Comet have handled my order...
I ordered a Kenwood Food Processor for £51, on 6th Jan.
The product was selling on Amazon for same price but I decided to order from comet as you could choose a delivery day. I selected Friday 14th as I knew I would be in...
Phone call on Thurs 13th a week after I placed the order, and after them taking the money from my acc, saying it was no longer in stock (they had lost the item :rotfl:) and I could either have a refund or choose another item paying more if necessary.
I said that I really wanted that item, and it was still showing as in stock for store collection. They said I could collect from store but as I don't drive I wasn't too keen on this idea.
How hard would it be for them to transfer stock from the store back to the depot?!
I was going to cancel my order and then I realised the price had gone up by £20 on amazon, so phoned to arrange a store pick up, only to be told the store in question doesn't have any in stock even though it's showing as in stock online :mad: it's still showing in stock today!!
I've cancelled my order but I'm so annoyed as if I'd ordered from amazon I would have the item by now :mad:

Hi luce181,
I'm very sorry about the trouble you had with your order. We do have procedures in place which would inform us when stock drops below the required level and you should then be contacted to inform you of this, and I am sorry that you weren’t told sooner. We have had technical issues with our website which could have resulted in this error.
Just to let you know, the product will still show as available in-store on our site due to some of our stores still having stock, upon entering your postcode this would then tell you availability in your area.
I apologise for the inconvenience caused to you because of this matter.
