How to fix a Lime Plug?

We have two Lime plugs, one connected to the TV/DVD/Freesat and one connected to the Wireless modem (on separate sockets and at the same level).
The other day the plug for the TV stopped working and although the remote still cause it to response it doesn't 'click' and disconnect the electricity to the appliances. I did a reset by pressing the button on the plug and selecting another remote but it's the same result (the other plug which also operates by the same remote is fine).
Does anyone know how to fix them or how they work? We got them as freebie's from Lime so not sure if I deserve a replacement.
I sent Lime an email on their site but they didn't come back.

I got one of the free lime ones, worked well at first but quickly died (2 weeks), I suspect these are of course made to a rock bottom price.
Fortunately a while ago by luck I picked up a similar Ecotech Standby Saver device that was on half price offer in Tesco. Sadly its now back up to £15 which is pretty steep. It has worked perfectly although at first it caught me out during testing, some of these devices have a time delay built in to stop you accidentally switching things on/off too quickly. After switch on, they don't respond to an off command for I think about a minute.0 -

I think I will not get another one.
Where is the argument in helping the environment when more cr*p like this go to landfill and takes gazillion years to degrade?!
I suppose we get what we pay forFive exclamation marks the sure sign of an insane mind!!!!!

Your right. To be honest I don't want one for eco reasons, I have a small hard drive media player that when you turn off with the remote still leaves the hard drive running (cheap!) so I was concerned about wear and tear. This device means the IR remote off, really is off as it cuts the power too.0 -
Well i was going to get one to turn off our TV as the "off" button on TV and remote only takes it's to Standby . Standby on my TV (a sony so not a cheap brand) consumes about 1watt power...the Lime adapter still consumes about 0.5W all the time. It's not going to save me much in electricity but i was hoping it would mean i could turn off other AV stuff through a 4-way extension cable (laziness so i don't have to wander across the room!).
Will check out the asda one's.
An eminently sensible reason for the device.
I suspect at the price mentioned the poster mentioning the Asda ones is confused this with radio control ones which are now very cheap, they would do the same thing of powering your TV on/off but with an additional remote control. The Elegance of the IR ones is it be taught to obey your existing remote.0
