I have washhed a few pairs of dark jeans, some of different types, but notice after a few washes they develop washing marks on the outer i.e. vertical marks as lighter colours. This is pretty annoying and makes the jeans look bad when wearing.
i follow washing instructions and wash them inside out and on low temp, but wondering if anyone has anytips to wash dark jeans?

I give then a good shake when they come out of the washing machine to get rid of any folds/creases, seems to do the trick.0

When washing dark colours I find it best to use liquid detergent rather than powder. If you've been using fabric conditioner also try a wash without it to see if that helps.0

It is amazing to find someone who cares what jeans actually look like, when you see the awful rubbish looking jeans that people buy from new. I'm thinking ripped and stone washed etc here. Probably just showing my age. In fact, I know I am.
I stopped wearing jeans many years ago when I realised that they were not actually comfortable. Thank heavens for cargo trousers. Not very elegant, but boy are they comfortable and quick drying. Right, that's got that off my chest!I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
i dontr use much softener and only use liquid detergents. but all my black jeans start showing these horrible black stripes suspect from creases. Makes them look horrible. Dont mind wearing them outside but something i do like wearing jeans to the office for a change.0

My OH (68) loves his jeans, virtually lives in them! I buy him the £9 ones from M&S, they wear reasonably well, and no sign of any streaks.0

I got a pair of brand new 501's that have been washed once and pretty much ruined. would it be possible to dye them to get rid of the lines. My mum did some washing for us and thought it would be a good idea to wash them at 60.Nothing to see here, move along.0
