Annual taste card for £29.95

the free trial is 3 months, this card is for 12 months, logically you are only meant to have one trial then pay £30 for the 12 month one, i dont quite understand what you mean?
If you took the time to look at the auction, or just read my post properly you will find the ebay seller is selling VOUCHERS that you, yourself activate online and therefore have the card sent to you, with your name on..........
Have looked at the auction and you are right it is for a voucher, which you get with a mobile phone. In which case the vouchers are stolen property....
Good luck.0 -

The auction says it's for a free card. So why pay someone £7, then tell us what "amazing" value it is.
Free means £0.00, yet you tell us £7.40 to get something "free" is a good deal???
Have you read the auction? What you are buying here is a TasteCard Discount Voucher, with this Voucher you can apply for a 12month free membership0 -

£7 for a 12 month subscription is cheaper than £29.95 (although I am sure you will disagree :rotfl:) I posted to give others who are considering buying the card (which is the point of this thread) chance to get 12 months for £7.40.0 -
You sure you have nothing to do with the vendor of this dodgy looking deal? Bearing in mind you haven't just posted about it in this thread, but elsewhere on MSE!0

lol try again, report me to the 'MSE police' or something do you really think i would be daft enough to self promote so blatantly????? I have posted this in multiple places as I believe it is a fab deal, please do everyone a favour and quit your pointless moaning
Your reply is unnecessarily abusive.
It is you who are breaking the forum rules by promoting (spamming) this obviously dodgy ebay deal in "multiple places":Forum users mustn't post the same forum post more than once on the forum
And it's you who keeps defending the dodgy auction as well as saying you "don't understand" why it's being pointed out the auction doesn't look "quite right".
Another poster says the vouchers being sold are stolen goods, and it seems that they have been stolen from carphone warehouse.
You say the voucher is worth £30, but on the auction they claim it's worth £70!
Anyone buying something supposedly worth £70 (or even £30) for £7 knows there's something fishy going on - this auction isn't just for a one off unwanted gift, but it seems the vendor has unlimited quantities to sell off to anyone prepared to ask no questions!
Were these bona fide, the vendor wouldn't be selling them at a ridiculously cheap £7 via buy it now, (presumably to get rid of as many as possible to buyers not too bothered), but would be maximising their value and using normal auctions to sell them. But most of us can spot a dodgy deal and give it a wide berth!0 -
This is a dodgy deal I'm afraid lil_tiger, and I'll tell you why. I purchased a mobile phone a couple of weeks ago from Carphone Warehouse. Part of the agreement was that because I got a 24 month contract I got a scratchcard entitling me to a free 12 month tastecard. You then visit a page on the taste card website and put in your details, along with the code on the scratch card. The code only works once.
I have had a look at the listing and this person has sold 20+ scratchcards and has 'more than 10' still to sell. Even if that number is just 11 (which let's be honest it won't be) then the seller would have had to buy 31 mobile phones in the last couple of weeks. If he loses that many phones in a fortnight he'd probably be better advised getting some phone insurance....
So, presuming the seller hasn't bought 31 phones in a fortnight, it seems likely that he/she works for either Taste Card or Carphone Warehouse. In which case 1) the cards are stolen, 2) there will probably be a stop on the unique codes.
Either way, like Quentin says, if a deal seems too good to be true it usually is.0 -

I reposted the post in this thread as I believed it may help other MSE'ers...after all, I thought the entire point of this whole website is to help each other save money.
I keep saying I dont understand because most of the issues you raise are completely pointless.....
I did not know the origin of the vouchers, and I suggest that before you claim goods to be stolen you may like to put a police uniform on and investigate the 'crime'. You (and I) have no insight into how the seller has got the vouchers and so cannot claim that they are unquestionably stolen.
You are one of the most annoying posters I have ever come across, perhaps you should see this post by dave_dunn and see how you should white an opinion. This is a dodgy deal I'm afraid lil_tiger, and I'll tell you why. I have already registered my code, so will see what taste say about it, then, if necessary create a dispute with the seller.
I used to think if a deal seems too good it probably is, however after looking at the Grabbit board so often I am afraid I have lost that logic.
Thanks for your useful contribution. :beer:0 -
firstly if you think that reply is abusive then you really should have asked for a dictionary for Christmas....
This is what you actually said unnecessarily:lil_tiger wrote:please do everyone a favour and quit your pointless moaning
I of course wasn't "moaning pointlessly", as you now belatedly seem to agree! (But no apology!)0 -

I only apologise to people who deserve an apology, your manner certainly does not......boring yet mildly entertaining for a while, yes......manners, no....have a lovely life I shall think of you everytime I use my £7.40 Taste card :beer:0
