Has anyone ever used mediahols.com for Mauritius?

Hi folks,

Found a lovely rental property in Mauritius, and it is only advertised on this site.

www.mediahols.com

I haven't heard of the site before, but wondered about safety. Most Mauritian property owners require payment by bank transfer.

Our main worry is, we transfer money, and then find the rental property doesn't exist! Maybe i'm dramatic, but in my experience there are some bad people out there:eek:

Also, is it safe to book direct with the owner of a property advertised on the internet? We have only ever used travel agencies before, and so are unused to this approach.

It states is a french based company Ive never heard of them before

Unless you speak to someone who has first hand experience with them I would avoid them

Hi superflygal,
I know the site Mediahols. I booked a flat last year with them to go to the carribean and it all went well.
In fact they only advertise, then you deal with the owner.
For more security, I contacted the site to be sure the rental existed and to know if everything was ok with the owner and they were very helpful. I think you can trust them. Good luck!
