Good Evening All
I was notified today by Lastminute.com that a 7 night package holiday (Virgin Flight + hotel) that I have booked has changed in part and in effect I now have only a 6 day holiday. Basically Virgin have cancelled our original Wednesday flight and rebooked us onto the Thursday flight. OK, that's all well and good but at the moment Lastminute are not interested in honouring the original 7 day package holiday and stated that if I want to change my return flight from the following Wednesday to the Thursday then I must pay them and Virgin charges.
This seems a little unfair so I am hoping that somebody reading this may be able to offer some advice. Lastminute keep mentioning their own T's & C's but as I am no longer getting the package I paid for then maybe they are no longer valid. It is only a matter of moving my holiday back 1 day so it shouldn't really be that much of a big deal - surely?
Thanks in advance.

They most likely have booked this DIY, used one operator for the flights and hotels through another agency
If it was a package holiday booked with VHOLS then your options to ammend would of been possible
Whats the reason for the flight change and where you travelling etc etc
Thanks

Hello
The only reason we've had for the flight cancellation was "for operational reasons the flight has been withdrawn". The flight is to Vegas and we are due to fly in just over 3 weeks time.0 -
What dates was the flight withdrawn I havent heard anything, I work for Virgin
Have they booked you a package holiday with VHOLS?

We were only told today and when we looked at our flight booking on the Virgin website we had already been moved to the Thursday. The original date was Wednesday 9th February.
As the booking was made through Lastminute I have no idea if they in-turn booked the entire package through Virgin - but I am pretty sure the flight is with Virgin and the Hotel is direct with the hotel.0 -
theres quite a few cancellations over next few weeks, not just Vegas, it usually happens at this time of year due to light loads, merge a couple of flights together0

Unfortunately this is why your pretty restricted on what you can do here
Virgin may have offered to cancel the flight free of charge, but you may be stuck with the terms and cons of last minute
