hi guys!
im hoping somebody, anybody or everybody can shinesome light on my situation!
i gave birth in april 2010 (brand spanking new tax year) i started my maternity leave at the end of feb 2010! so this tax year i have not recieved 1 full pay chack just smp!
as i have gone to claim my cb and tc i went to seek advice at my local citizens advise they explained that because im only receiving smp the way it breaks down weekly it actually results to me not earning "nothing" so i was entitled to a fair amount....or so we thought!( i pay mortagage with my partner who is in full time work.) after sending my claims form off and it coming back 6 weeks later it turns out im only entitled to £20 cb and £20 tc! they took away wtc which also entitled me to child care, away due to my previous years income and also because i am under 25years ? which completely leaves me in a sticky situation...how am i suppose to return to work without child care allowences i dont have any one to look after little one through the day!
i read on hmrc website that if your income is significantly lower than previous year to contact them, i did, no change they wont accept it!and cost me £20 whilst waiting for them to pick up phone!! we are now struggling to pay mortgage, bills and putting food on the table! i cant return to work, i cant afford child care costs on my wage! will this be all back dated in the new tax year? i just cant seem to get any sense out of them! everyone else i speak to just to seems to be rolling in it! i dont want to be scrounging benifits i just NEED a lil help whilst i bring my child up!
if anyone can help me a would be so grateful loosing sleep worrying!
(sorry its a long and hope it makes sense?)
