We have just launched two policies covering those aged between 75 and 85. Although this policy may not be of direct interest to you, you may have a relative or friend who would benefit from it and, if so, we hope that you might care to direct then to our website: www.insurance4carhire.com where the policy can be viewed and purchased.

Whilst the policy holder must be aged between 75 and 85, all named drivers are also covered and they can be aged between 21 and 85.

The new policies are as follows:

Europe 75-85: £65 plus 5% Insurance Premium Tax = £68.25
Covers Europe for Excess damage to the rented vehicle, excess on the theft and damage to windows, tyres and the undercarriage.
Europe Plus 75-85: £75 plus 5% Insurance Premium Tax = £78.75
Covers Europe, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia for Excess damage to the rented vehicle, excess on the theft and damage to windows, tyres and the undercarriage.

Remember that when you purchase a policy, you can choose the start date up to 3 months in advance. We look for ward to assisting you in the future and will advise if we have more improvements or new policies.

Hope it helps someone.

  • isayoldchap, nice to see some degree of cover for older-but still competent
drivers, BUT I presume that does not include people like myself ,over the 85 years mark. At the 88 yrs stage and really not yet ready , for 'the knackers yard', I feel somewhat disadvantaged. Any advice, ( apart from 'the bullet') would be appreciated My thanks diegosuarez
