1&1 / Website hosting charges - any chance for refund?

Hi guys!
I've been with 1&1 Internet (https://www.1and1.co.uk) coming up to 4 years now - and over the years my website has incurred thousands of pounds worth of charges due to my website bringing in so many visitors, that it has exceeded the allocated amount of bandwidth?
However, I feel these charges are excessive and for the quality of the service they provide - they are not relative, after having to pay almost £6,000 in charges over the years - do I have any hope of getting this money back, is there a legal loophole or anything that entitles to me to at least a partial refund in consumer rights?
Thanks,
- Joe

I can't imagine that there will be anyway of getting a refund. I looked at their T&C and thought £5 a gig too expensive and went elsewhere.
As long as they have charged you the amount in their T&C you will be struggling.
I see from their terms and conditions that they dropped the charge to .99p for new customers in July 2005.
If you have been charged the old rate since then You could possibly argue that it was unfair not to put you onto the new rate, but that would be your only chance. You would need to take legal advice on that.
Why haven't you just switched host? Hostgator for example give you 5gig webspace and 75 gig monthly for under $10 a month.

Thanks Nick!
I'm with Hostgator now as of this year for most of my websites, but in the process of moving the remaining sites over now.
Hostgator in comparison have been brilliant!

I have 150 GB a month bandwidth for my website and pay no way near that amount.
How much bandwidth do you currently use?
This company is not my web host but take a look at Dataflame who only charge an extra 50p a GB for bandwidth over the normal monthly allocation (see add ons at the bottom of their page).
