Netbook connection problems

I have a samsung netbook, but keep losing the internet. There are 3 problems that keep recuring.

1.Message, The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

2. Keep's going onto offline mode.

3. Message saying Server cannot be found.

I am using windows XP, using firefox & D-link wireless router.

I am not very tech minded, so please keep any replies simple. Cheers:beer:

How long has the problem been happening?
What version of firefox ?
Does this happen on every site?

A fair while now, probably 3-4 weeks. I've just put up with it, but it is becoming a pain.
It seems to happen on all sites but this site more than most, but i do spend a lot of time on here thou.

Not sure if the latest version of firefox, but think it is.

Are there any firewall settings that may be affecting it ?

Turned firewall off, but made no difference. Still losing connection.

Do you have any other computer(s) plugged into the router and have you tried connecting the netbook to the router with a cable? Just trying to rule out/in dodgy internet connection rather than wireless problems.

can u confirm the version of FF ?

Got the latest version of F/F.

Got a pc upstairs using the same router, occaionally lose the connection, but nothing like the netbook. The pc upstairs does not have the problems i have with the netbook.
