Budget Self-Catering Accommodation in Hong Kong?

Hi - we're planning a trip to see my sister in Perth later on this year and would like to do a stop-off in Hong Kong - staying for approx. 4 weeks in October.
There will be 2 adults and 2 kids - aged 16 & 17. Our kids have special needs and we would continue to do some home education with them so don't want somewhere too poky. We don't mind sharing a bedroom but need somewhere where we can do our own cooking and also have access to the internet.
I've looked at some of the Hostel options and they could be OK but not ideal for that length of time I think. However, I'm open to suggestions.
Also, does anyone have any experience/knowledge of the HK holiday camps? There seem to be quite a few around and have got some good facilities.
Any other suggestions welcome

We're thinking we will now go to Oz first and stop off in Hong Kong on the way back, so we'll be there for the Chinese New Year celebrations.
