I am not redundant but there are only three of us in our company which looks like it's going to fold this week. I will have no job and no redundancy money. I'm no spring chicken and have mortgage and other debts. Has anybody any advice or been in this situation ?

If you look on the direct gov website you should find out how you can claim redundancy money if your employer cannot pay it because their business has closed and has no money.
I see no reason for you not to receive the redundancy payment from either your employer or the government - but bear in mind you will only get statutory redundancy pay if you have to claim it via the government route. Again the direct gov website has a calculator so you can work out how much it will be.

Do you say that because you will have been employed there for less than 2 years? If you have been an employee with your current company for more than 2 years then you will qualify for statutory redundancy pay - though that's not much.0 -
