Thanks Spud, shall see how I go with drying it out first in case it was the water that caused it.

Fair enough, but if you do take the top off to aid drying it out, then just have a look around as well.
I agree with ddoris re it being easy to remove lid.
Even if it is difficult to pull out from under the worktop, it's got to be worth a go, especially considering the callout charge.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
You may find that if you have a water leak, it is dripping behind and onto the mains plug of the washing machine. I have seen that before, tripping out electrics.0
