Wireless Printer help....

Hi everyone,
Am looking at replacing an Epson printer (6 yrs old and temperamental)
We have 3 computers in the house - 2 laptops and 1 desktop. Currently, the printer is connected by USB to one laptop. The other laptop can 'see' the printer through my network, and print to it, but only when other laptop is running. As yet, i have not tried to connect the desktop to the printer.
Can anyone recommend a suitable wireless printer, preferably an all-in-one (print/scan/copy), suitable for photo printing as well.
I would prefer one with seperate ink cartridges, instead of a multi colour.
Also - i have seen printers that you can email printing to! Are these any good, or is it just a gimmick?

Not sure what you mean by temperamental? If you are connecting by USB then of course it won't work unless the PC/laptop it is attached is switched on.
if you want it to work any other way then you need a network printer attached to your router by ethernet (or it can be wireless if you prefer), assuming you have a wireless network. No free lunch, and no free laptop

by temperamental, i mean that it decides not to work at all sometimes, even when printing from connected laptop,
also, the the paper feeder jams on a regular basis. If I'm going to replace it, i need something that can be used by everyone. When it was originally bought, we only had one computer in the house, so it was perfectly adequate.0 -
Well I've bought a Canon MP560. really pleased with the printing quality, especially the photos, it has separate inks and was easy to set up. ( cost about £80)
Only problem is that the printer wifi interferes with the wireless range of the laptop so we end up turning the printer off most of the time.
Don,t know if this is easy to fix as I hav'nt posted a query on here about it yet0 -
I have an Epson SX515W does the job but I use it mainly for wireless scanning, if colour wasn't that important I'd say to go for a Brother networked laser printer.0
