They will be looking to confirm or deny something they may have been told about a previous occupier.
I`d put the small lettery thing, in the big blue recycle bin, thing, and forget about it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Alternatively, if you have an open fire, you could use the small lettery thing underneath some wooden sticks to get your next fire started.0

Do NOT include the case reference number (you might want to delete the above image as it can identify you to them if they read this thread and your username might help them marry up your name with voters role and one assumes 82 is your year of birth. The internet is a publishing platform, take care what you put online.
As others have said a total fishing expedition, I love the way they ask for the landlord's details.
If you want you can have a bit of fun, create an online email account, create an on holiday response with something like
Hi
.I am too busy to respond to emails, if you think your email is really important please send it to getstuffed@lcsdr.com
Or create a nest of emails each forwarding to another at Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail etc then have the last one go back to the original.
Then email help@lcsdr.com
Attn: Kelly Jackson
Dear Kelly
Further to your recent communication, the answers to your questions are as follows:
Name - The occupier
Occupy Date - Yesterday
Previous Occupier - Some Other Git
Forwarding Address - Tent 4, Cave 7, Taliban Central, Swat Walley, Pakistan.
Landlord - Tony Blair / Look it up on Land Registry you cheapskate it is only £3
Any Other Info - Get lost
When they email back asking for the case number they will get the holiday response.
Make sure you are registered with the energy company for your property and that you have an account in your name and that they have not bolted on the former occupier's debt to your account.
Remember that lockdown or not if these scum turn up they have no right of entry, nor do you have to talk to them, do not even open the door.

Hello all
Just wanted to check in about LCS letters I've received.
They sent me a letter about an £80 DVLA penalty. They were very vague about the nature of it, eventually managed to establish that it was a DVLA fine:"This debt is regarding failure to retax or SORN (when you take a vehicle \'off the road\' and you want to stop taxing and insuring it) vehicle XXXXXXXXDVLA have confirmed the date of offence as XXXXX and as this account with DVLA reached 77 days with no payment it has now been passed to LCS to handle."
What happened was, I moved house and updated my address on everything except my blinkin V5C... I found this out when I went out to drive the car one morning in January and it was clamped! So I immediately taxed the car (didn't even cost anything), paid to have it unclamped (£100), and updated the V5C, cursing all the while.
So it sounds legit, and I guess I need to pay it really - but I will check in with DVLA first to at least get confirmation of the fine.
Any thoughts folks?
Thanks

A genuine BUT HIGHLY UNETHICAL AND AGGRESSIVE debt collection agency. I told the water company a year ago I had moved and to cease contacting me and instead sue me in open court (with the press and industry regulators present/.testifying) if they want to. LCS are now harassing me despite having explained the background and having told them to CEASE & DESIST from contacting me and to issue court action if they want the money, and although they have acknowledged this CEASE & DESIST request nevertheless they continue to harass me.
