Hi,
I've had hassle trying to withdraw money from my savings today as my bank does not operate a counter service on a Saturday and I ended up transferring the money between different current accounts my partner and I have cards for.
I've decided that my current savings account does not meet my needs so I'm looking for other options. We use the same bank for all our accounts and up until now have been happy with the service provided, so we have no experience of any other banks.
We transfer £25 a month DD with occasional additional small lump sums. The money is specifically set aside for home improvements so would be gradually building up then withdrawing around 90%. We want somewhere which will offer a Saturday service.
Can anyone recommend a suitable bank/building society?

You will find that generally speaking, most of the best deals on savings are "Internet" accounts. But why not try a Lloyds Vantage current account? If you 'launder' £1,000 a month into it, you'll be getting 4% on balances between £5K and £7K - better than any online savings account. Plus (I expect) Lloyds Bank might be open on a Saturday - although personally I virtually never go into any bank these days, any day of the week.0
