Harveys Melissa suite - anybody got one?

A longshot I know, but we are considering buying this suite as a three seater, two seater, and armchair with electric recliners and was wondering if anybody on here has this suite. If so, what do you think of it? Are you happy with it?

  • Hi We have a Melissa Suite. 3 seater electric recline sofa, 2 seater manual recline sofa and Armchair with electric reline.
    We purchased early November 2010 delivere d 20th Jan 2011. The suite was damaged and had faults ( small loose screw pressing through leather on back cushion 2 seat sofa!)
    I rang customer service as advised by delivery men. met with a very unhelpful gentleman who was extremely rude to me also about the staff from the store i bought it. Due to this i rang the store and spoke to the lady we purchased the suite from, who said she would talk to her area manager about the Service Centre and find out about a replacement suite.
    She rang the following day to say the gentleman at the call centre would be spoken to. Also another suite had been ordered but would be available until April 2011.
    In a short space of time (about 4 weeks) we noticed wear on the seams of all the furniture. My wife went into the store and spoke to the sales lady, they inspected the one in-store this also showed same signs of wear, we were told no one else had a problem [HAS ANYBODY ELSE].
    We received a phone call to say the replacement suite was in a ready for Delivery, i asked if it had been inspected and was told Yes;) A delivery date of 29th April 2011 was agreed.
    The Suite arrived i asked the delivery chap if it had been inspected, he thought not as it was in the sealed boxed packaging they came in.
    I said i wanted to inspect before accepting Delivery.
    The First item they opened was FAULTY stitch holes (no thread) down the front arm were stitching wouldnt have been!
    I refused delivery.
    THE SAGA IS STILL NOT RESOLVED

    I don't know about the Melissa Suite personally, but i know that the twitter customer service channel @harveys_uk is your best bet for getting things resolved quickly.

    I hope you get this sorted soon. :-(
  • Did you get your Melissa suite problem resolved with Harvey's? We have just ordered a 3 seater and 2 seater with electric recliners.
