B]Well I've done it! Signed up for an egg Cashback card ready to ditch my other cards - some cashback, some not, opened an ISA and a top rate ICESAVE account - all recommended by this site. Furthermore, I'll open a new regular saver with Ipswitch Building Society (top saver with no catches) and will open the Halifax Current Account - when my other accounts come through - ditching a 7 year relationship with HSBC. I'd like to pay off my mortgage but I'm investing my fallback 6 months money as money-wise as I can without the need to give notice to anyone - as it is an emergency fund. My message to those who are unsure - go for it with a HUGE thank you to everyone on the boards for your advice, support, wisdom and guidance together with huge thanks to Martin, ITV and the team. Last but by no means least, good luck to everyone with their money-saving plans!:j [/B]:D

Aaah .... of course!
Grateful then that you didn't decide to downsize your property / fix your new Mtge / take a loan / contribute more to your pension / to reduce your tax ... or we'd have been close to a full financial house! If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

With regard to the Egg card be aware that the fee payable to tranffer funds to the card is not 0% and does amass an interest charge at the cards normal rate, seperate to the BT.Thought I saw the light at the end of the tunnel....Then got hit by a train! :A
