I have bought my teen daughter a canvas kit which comes with 2 square canvas and oil paints & brushes for just £3.99 from B & M.
Teen girls seem to like nice trendy pjs and slippers for sleep overs, my dd got some Betty Boo ones for £12 in New look last week.
I have bought my brother This dvd set, great for boys!

thanks have bought one for the teenage nephew :Tjenna.nostyle wrote:Duct Tape wallets seem to go down well with males of most ages, or if the boys are more creative you can pick up books of how to make duct tape items which are pretty good (I spent an entire evening around a friend's house last christmas teaching him how to make a wallet for his girlfriend which he then personalised with her favourite band's logo).
girls are so much easier to buy for :rolleyes:0 -
I wouldn't buy perfume for the older girls as i'm 22 but wouldn't wear any perfume except for expensive stuff, my perfume costs £35 per 50ml and am a bit funny.
I know my brother 15 is really into music etc so I think he would want an HMV voucher!
You can get really nice make up sets from Boots etc 3 for 20 -
what about I-POD vouchers, cd vouchers, a favourite clothes shop vouchers, look at some websites for shoes, clothes, jewellery etc, call them over and say look at this and if you get a reaction then work on that xxx
Favourite writer books, fav chocs, posh biscuits xxx0 -

I agree, between 16-30ish it's not a great age to buy the copy perfumes [not that there's anything wrong with cheap perfumes (unless they are the REALLY cheap ones) but most girls from my experience all wear the named ones.0 -
I've just brought perfume for my two neices. I don't think it looks a lot though, and am making each of them one of the "sweet boxes" which is shown on this site. I think that however old they get, they still love the smaller things like sweets, chocs or even a stocking with little bits in them.0

I'm thinking about a 'hot date kit' for my nephew -
not sure what's going in it yet but maybe voucher for cinema plus hair gel, smellies, little black book. He's only just a teenager so that should embarras him nicely! :rolleyes:0 -
What kind of thing are they into? Are they chavs, emo, give us a clue . . . .0

T J Hughes had some fabulous travel cases for £10. If your budget is £20 you could put some bits and bobs inside them.
For my school age grandchildren I have bought them Quicksilver back packs from TK Max and crammed them full of goodies.0 -

What's an emo?:o
I don't really know what they are into or what they have already hence the thread! I think that the younger one's are sporty, anyway we did some shopping last week......
I went for perfume for the 15 year old girl and aftershave for 21 year old nephew, DD advised on which ones (she has more idea than me on what's hot) 19 YO Niece is good friends with my DD so she rang to get some ideas, she likes branded make up so we got her some face powder and mascara and some socks to make up the difference. I got a maglight for 11YO nephew, they have always gone down well with the older ones on previous occasions. 14YO wants a PS2 game which I can get next week. Still got 13 YO niece to sort out
might go for a game for her too.
Thanks for all your input guys much appreciated.:A0
