I'll do it tomorrow and report back!
BackinBusiness - did you accept the £5k on yours then?0 -

Ok, I'll word it another way. Internal performance scoring is not the same as a credit reference agency. It doesn't "drop-off" after 6 years so that nobody can see it. A bank charge now, a missed payment now, a delinquent loan now would remain recorded within the bank's systems for as long as you have a relationship with them - possibly until the day you drop.
I don't think this is true - is it?0 -
Quantum - I did, but I never, ever use it. A previous poster said why have it then? Having been without access to credit of any kind for a couple of years (wholly my own doing I fully accept) - the security of having a £5K buffer is immense, although I now have savings of my own and am working on building everything back up.
The irony of debt is that when you are desperate for credit (you think) - you can't access it, and when you eventually get yourself sorted out you can get credit, but don't need it (or more importantly don't want it)
Still interested to hear how you get on.DF0 -
I'm wondering whether to give it a try tonight, BackinBusiness. Curious minds wanna know lol0

OD's aren't permanent though are they? They can be taken away again by the bank and are constantly reviewed. Is it a good idea then to look upon them as giving you peace of mind for emergencies? At least that's what I've learned on another thread?0
