I'm currently in the process of applying for working tax credit and its asking me for my PAYE reference. I don't earn enough money to be taxed on so as I'm aware I dont have a PAYE reference, if I leave this section blank will it delay my claim? Also would I still have a PAYE reference even if I pay no tax?
I might be being a little dumb here but any info would be really appreciated! Thanks x

I think you would still have a PAYE even if you don't earn enough to pay tax. Everyone who works for your employer will have the same PAYE. Have a look on your payslip/p60 for it is is always 3 numbers followed by a forward slash and then some more letters or numbers. If it isn't there then ask your employer and please note it is also known as an employers reference or a tax reference. You can still submit the claim without it if you can provide the pay office address.0
