in Credit cards
Hi
Can you guys advice please.
Back in 2003, there was a problem with hubbys lloydscredit card got mixed up in a move and was thought closed but not, we knew nothing of it until we started using the current account again (had been dormant since 2003)and they started taking money to pay a card...looked into it more and paid the cc off staight away (small sum)...requested credit file for first time, saw a default for said lloyds credit card in 2003, this was 2009 and was to drop off that month so didnt question it too much.
Lloyds had new address linked with current account but had never sent anything about credit card not closed, still owed, also no statements for this period or anything.
weve now applied for credit files again (hoping to move soon )
and theres a new default from lloyds for the same credit card in oct 2009, can they issue defaul on same debt twice, this seems unfair, to date have still never written to us or sent anything, only way we know about any of this is through online banking and phone calls....where do we go from here getting it taken off or removed.
its our only thing wrong on the file.
Can you guys advice please.
