Flying will generally be cheaper, try to get a flight with only one stop, as stops cost money. We have done UK to NZ twice in the last three years, not Christmas or school holidays and each time paid around £750 return, Singapore Air and Air Malasia. Would use either again but look for a deal. Book early to get bargains and reserve a decent seat.
  • We flew London - Auckland last year in November cost £980 rtn. We choose Air New Zealand and had an internal flight included in the cost. ( Auckland to Queenstown - virtually free)
  • Look at Air Asia via KL (Brand new flight) Best deal usually May/June.
