Football live stream

I have just discovered that you can get Premier matches live streamed to your PC.
I have managed to do this with a degree of success on my PC. However in trying to do the same on my Dad's Dell we are experiencing problems.
On my PC it takes about 20 secs to buffer the connection fully (it then shows as mid 90's% permanently and gives a constant stream).
On my Dad's PC the buffering gradually moves up to approx 70% and then falls away again to mid 30's resulting in intermittent sound and a still picture.
I am aware that Microsoft have made some restrictions in SP2 to limit P2P connections to 10 per sec and was wondering if this has got anything to do with it (tho wouldn't explain why it works on mine and not my Dad's).
The software that streams the feed is P2P.
Has anyone else experienced the same and can anyone offer an idiots guide as to how to overcome it ?
TIA,
Mr_F.

You need to download a client (there are several ie PPLIVE,PPSTREAM, TVANTS, SOPCAST etc).......I am using Sopcast as it is easy to install/use.
Can download it from https://www.sopcast.com
Once you have it there are various channels that you can watch (on Sopcast you can access these via the software programme under the Channels tab or via the website - its best to access them from the website as doing so via the software seems to cause problems).
In order to know which channel is showing which match you need to check out the channels list at one of many sites. The one I use is http://www.football4less.com/schedules/
Most matches are a good quality feed but some have Chinese commentary (seems to be dependent on which channel they are 'broadcast on' - still VERY new to this myself).
From what I have seen the STAR Sports channel has English commentary.
Hope that helps.
Can anyone shed any light on the issue of slow buffering and how to overcome it ?0 -

Possibly the ISP is using 'traffic shaping' to limit the bandwidth consumed by streaming vids (they do this for P2P traffic too). Only way around this is to 'obfuscate' the traffic using encryption which some P2P clients are now supporting.0 -

Does this encryption have to be part of the clients software or can we get something to encrypt (as presumably the clients software isnt encrypting currently as otherwise we wouldnt have the buffer issue) ???
If so please advise or point me in a direction where I may find out some more about it.
Thanks.0
