    Well done and welcome.
Blind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.

And when no hope was left inside on that starry starry night.

    Nice one!

Welcome to MSE - you are doing very well. 1k per month average pay back is very good going.

I am on a similar hit rate - I am doing a 18.5k in 18.5 months personal challenge to make me debt free. 1k a month is not easy... I know!

Keep it up! Sounds to me like you have your head screwed on, you've seen the light and are going to do this.

I keep my motivation by thinking about the spare cash I will have every month once I am debt free! How do you keep motivated?
    Start of £18.5k in 18.5 month project - 3rd October 2006

    Debt at 3rd October 2006 - £18,637.56
    Debt now (1st February 2007) - £16,627.92

  • Ok I promise my lurking days are over :D

Wow, £185 on sandals, thats impressive! :p My worst purchase was probably only a £145 jacket that I wore once....

Most of my clothes come from H&M now!

Good luck with that JDGB999, 1000 a month is v.impressive!
I have only managed to pay off such a large amount because I sold my car and bought a cheaper one, I am paying around 600-800 a month at the mo. My motivation comes from the same thing. I wont know what i'll do with all that spare cash though, well maybe I will..... :rotfl:
