I've just recieved a card throught the post that states it's a "pure card".
I have never applied for this and have never even heard of them and certainly don't want it.
Anyone else heard of these.
Thanks.

Is it a prepaid card from a reward and recognition scheme at work?0

Pre-pay Visa I think, just dump it."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

Yes quite appears this may be tied to an employee benefits package of sorts. Ask your employer about it?Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

After ensuring to cut it into small enough pieces that no one can re-assemble it and use it for ID purposes taking out credit in your name online

We get a purecard with work. It is a prepaid debit card that when u spend in stores it gives you a kick back of cash onto your account.
The company can upload funds onto it for me, for bonuses / rewards etc, and I can also load it up myself. For example I just bought a large item from John Lewis and will get 7% cash back on the card. Lots of big name brands are part of the scheme and it really makes a difference at the end of the month when u have the extra cash available to you.
As you have never heard of it you are right to destroy it to negate any fraud risk and I would call them too to ensure that they know. The help line on the back of mine is 0844 800 6463.
I think these may be avail for the general consumer soon too so it's a good card to look out for as could make you quids in!

I get one through work too. They obviously have a way of varying the rebates per employer, as I only get 5% from John Lewis.
Crazy thing is, we can also buy shopping vouchers with work which are generally better value than the card. i.e 9% at John Lewis.0
