Tax Credits not arrived in bank?

Hi,

Can anyone help me with this as I'm tearing my hair out.

I was due to get my tax credits in the bank yesterday and they haven't turned up.

I spoke to HMRC who said yes we've paid them and they've been accepted by your bank, spoke to the bank who flatly denied this. No money has been received or is pending so I went back to HMRC again and got ' we told you before nothing has changed nothing to do with us'

Checked the account this morning, still nothing. I got the payment reference from a very nice lady at HMRC but the bank still say nothing's been paid in.

What can I do? Is there any way of tracing this payment down?

I'm at my wits end, I've 4 kids, naff all in the freezer, £30 left in the bank and bills coming out.

Anyone got any advice? My bank is Lloyds TSB btw

Did you double check with the HMRC that they had the correct bank details for you?

I too bank with Lloyds and I got my TC as usual today (not rubbing your nose in it, just to show that there's not a bank problem!)

Hi, yes I've double checked all that. I even got the payment reference to give to the bank to try and push them but they said they couldn't trace it.
