Hi,
Does anyone have any experience using 3rd party inks from printerinksdotcom for the Epson B40W. The black cartridge seems to clog and I've tried cleaning it 10 times but no joy. I have now got an official Epson cartridge but still doesn't work.
Any tips or experience with this?
Thanks,
Gary

More of a tip, they are cheaper elsewhere
Would have said that using a different make was something to try, though if you have reverted to genuine, then it could be a blocked nozzle and a cleaning cartridge might help

Much cheaper here, (currently use theirs with an R2880 with pristine results)

They may be able to supply a cleaning cartridge here

I use www.nd-ink.co.uk for cartridges. Epson cartridges are tanks for ink. The print head is part of the main machine.
If running 3 head cleans doesn't clear it then it'll be a blocked head. Try printing one of the freely available test pictues on maximum DPI.
Changing the cartridge, thus a different mix of ink, may help. All else fails then you'll have to manually unblock the heads.

I usually start by cleaning the sponges under the printheads and checking the purge pipe is clear. Next a pad of toilet paper soaked in distilled water to blot the print head ---- DO NOT APPLY PRESSURE OR USE DRY PAPER.
It is possible to use steam, I'm told, but I've never tried it.0
