no item in box???

i bought a chain from ebay, the guy sent me the box, but no chain and authentification card in the box, i messaged the seller, he is convinced it should have been in the box. I paid through paypal, however using a debit card, im unsure how to claim back my money and how to go about it??ne help would be really usefull!thankkyou

If the seller wont help u, then u will have to report him to ebay, as long as its paypay im assuming they will help, open a dispute and take it from there. But first go to the help site, u can normally find ur answer there.0

Definately do it as 'item not received' and also do a paypal dispute as well, looking at his item, the pics are awful. his feedback isn't the best in the world.0

It could be a legit mistake but it seems the 'empty parcel" is a common scam, as they get proof of postage and can claim upto 28.00 for standard post with this proof.
I dont know the value of your buy...
If the seller is unhelpful then it maybe a scam.
Paypal is good protection for buyers and although a lengthy dispute may ensue, you will get reinbursed.0 -
looks to be a scam but you will be reinbursed through paypal
if he does claim postage/costs through royal mail he mustnt have stated what the goods were as money , jewellery etc is not insured by royal mail unless sent special delivery then again that may be the way he sent it ?
although not likely to pay for special delivery if hes ripping people offsafc forever
