What does my baby really need?

Babies love mirrors. When she's on the floor, try placing a make-up mirror next to her so that she can see her reflection, watching a baby pull faces at a mirror is hilarious! Babies love to watch faces anyway so make sure that you spend as much time as you can just talking and singing to her when you are holding and feeding her. You don't need to spend loads of money on toys for small babies, a nice playmat and a few tactile things to hold (and later on, chew), are fine. By the time that she is crawling, her favourite toys will be the tv remote, your shoes and anything else that she can grab!"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0

I've had a lot of bargains on ebay for babies toys, definitely worth a look for baby bundles to give you a selection of things for her.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0

My children have all been in door bouncers from the age of three months, and this kept them amused for good 20 min blocks of time. Great for when preparing a meal, or baking.
There are activity stations (a bit like a baby walker but stationary and has an assortment of toys in a circle so baby can amuse themselves.)
The soft books of black and white and yellow and red are great.
They will now start to require your attention and interaction a lot, a bit of a shock at first, but the start of many changes!
Go for lots of walks and get out and about. They love that0
