New cat has magical powers ;)

My rescue cat arrivred yesterday morning and made him self at home by meiowing in every room for a couple of hours and following me around :)

I have decided this morning that puss has magical powers.... he followed my 4yr old to bed and kept her company until she fell asleep (usally a massive battle) took him around 10 minutes....

Came out and had cuddles with me and hubby :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Slept in our room... after much meiowing and wandering about stole my bed space when i got up first in the morning.

But BEST of all the kids didnt wake up untill gone 730!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he did manage to convince hubby i hadnt fed he though..... 2nd breakfasts :)

  • You should read Neil Gaiman's* short story The Price** about a 'magical' cat. If you enjoy that then I'd recommend more of his work, as a cat lover he often includes cats in his stories. The Price can be found in his compilation of short stories called 'Smoke and Mirrors' (I think it might be found in some of his other compilations too, but that's the one I've got). :D

    * is Neil Gaiman's official blog
** is not connected with NG, they just happened to have his story up on their site

They're certainly something, not sure if it's magic or something darker and more elemental.
