Just thought I'd let everyone know about the great service I recieved from Amazon.
I ordered a DVD boxset late last night to be delivered to my dad for his 50th birthday on 10th Nov:beer: . During the checkout process it said the estimated dispatch date was 7th November. But the confirmation e-mail I recieved said estimated dispatch date of 17th-20th November. I was a bit miffed cos that was way too late and the item was still showing up as in stock so I couldn't understand why it would take so long
I e-mailed them to ask what was happening. I recieved the following e-mail back literally 2 mintues later;
minutes later I got an e-mail to say that it had entered the dispatch process and would be delivered by Tuesday! Whereas before it would have been delivered between 9th and 11th November. So Im happy cos now my dads pressie will definately be there on time!:D And I got free first class delivery.
Well done Amazon!

Excellent service!
To add to this, twice in the past year I have ordered things at the last minute and paid extra for next-day delivery, and it hasn't arrived. Both times Amazon have replied to my emails promptly and given me a refund on the postage without any problem whatsoever.0
