Virgin 0% card query

I've just been accepted for a Virgin 0% card with the intention of doing a money transfer as a short-term loan. One thing I was wondering, it offers 16 months on these transfers at 0% and 3 months on purchases at 0%. If I do any purchases will the be paid off first or will the payments go against the money transfer?…

Yup. Absolute nonsense. The balance transfer balance will remain at 0% for the remainder of the promotional offer and the purchases will be charged at the standard purchase rate from the time the transaction is made to the time it is paid off.

As per the new laws it doesn't "drop to the bottom of pile" either; so the cost of purchasing whilst in a Balance Transfer promotional period is minimal.
