I want to get myself financially sorted out this year and have a couple of old debts that add up to nearly £2000. I know it may not seem like alot but i was a bit carless a few years and now have a few defaults on my account. I really want ge this cleared up but i have a poor credit which is my fault and i accept that, but dont know where to go next. Any ideas would be greaty appreciated

Are you looking to get a loan or advice on saving?0

I would prefer a loan but i never thought about the saving side of it. Do you have any advice for me like?0

Well depends how much your earning really and if you can afford to save say £200 a month cutting out things you don't really need you'd be surprised how much we dont really need but want
. Anyway if you could do that then you'll be done in a year. Make a list of what you spend everything month and see if you can cut anything out.
On the loan front again its how much you earn, but your really not getting rid of your debt just moving it around.0 -
Hi there
If you go to the Debt-Free Wannabe Board and post your Statement Of Affairs there (there's a link at the top of that board), then they'll be able to help you out. Probably much better than trying to take out a consolidation loan.
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -

Hi emeraldeyes81cute and welcome to the MSE forum.
It would be helpful if you could give a bit more information regarding the debts, how you are currently dealing, or not dealing, with them and what you can afford to pay towards settling them. If you have any savings then they will almost certainly be better devoted to debt repayment.
The Debt-free Wannabe forum is probably a better place to post this info, as suggested earlier by KiKi, and if you post an SoA then forum members can appraise it to help you identify areas where you might be able to reduce your outgoings.
In the meantime, you might find the MSE Debt Problems page helpful to get an idea of your situation and how to deal with itWarning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
